I bought it off of a warbird parts dealer. I wanted a quadrant with a supercharger control since I seem to be flying the P-47 quite a bit. The feel the way it moves and that old smell make it worth the time and effort to make all the hook ups...electronically and mechanically.
I modified my Microsoft sidewinder joystick by making it a real control stick complete with a leather boot but unfortunately no force feedback...yet.
I modified my CH rudder pedals so they have a wider stance. It was hard to chop them up since they were still new and under warranty but ya gotta do what ya gotta do...lol. I needed that once I had the joystick because I needed room to move it, and the stock rudder pedals were way to close together.
Then everything including the base was painted zinc chromate green. Next is a trim wheel..and then and then...it never ends...lol
Ya gotta love A2A's warbirds.
awesome, i wonna see that!
