One of the best things about Accusimed A2A aircraft is how immersive they feel, listening to the engine etc. Having to use a popup menu in the middle of a flight definitely decreases that feel. Using popup menus to load/configure the aircraft, do overhauls etc. isn't so bad, but once the flight begins I'd rather not have to use a popup.

In the Spitfire, the canopy can be opened/closed by clicking on certain places in the VC. I've searched, but haven't found any similar clicks that will open/close the canopy on the P-47. Is there any way to do this with either a mouse click or a key combination that can be assigned to a joystick button so that I don't have to use Shift-3 & the popup menu to open/close the canopy?

Clicking on the popsicle stick looking latch works for me.

Thank you very much. I had tried clicking all along the bar, but missed the "popsicle stick" latch. Works great now.

Or you could use shift+e and map it to a button :-)
