INSTRUCTIONS:
This is the official paint kit is for use with A2A Simulations “Wings of Power 3 P-47 Razorback (FSX Only).â€Â
This paint kit was created using Adobe PhotoShop 7.01. We cannot guarantee that it will work with PaintShop Pro or Gimp.
***************NOTE*******************
The P-47 rear fuselage suffers from quite a lot of texture mapping problems. This will effect how numbers and letter codes will look on your P-47 fuselage sides. The paint kit includes guides to help you ensure this warping is not noticed. Also look at the default paints included with your P-47 to see how the finished codes should look.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
The paint kit is outstanding. A lot of work went into that alone.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Hey martyn,
How do I use the paint kit fully.
What I mean is you have included a layered alpha and that's got me a bit confused. I have updated my Halesworth markings to the latest retail paint kit from the aplha/beta one. Now before I am not sure how the alpha works as its a separate .psd? Does this want copying in a full layer to the normal .psd and selecting during the alpha creation stage?

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Ok just about got the hang of it, here are two WIP,
one is Halesworth and the other was the first profile google image search showed.
First up is the Halesworth Bird that goes brilliantly with Ian's Halesworth Scenery located on his site;
http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/node
Next up is this representation of Lt. Harold G. Stalnaker, a WWII P-47D Thunderbolt pilot killed during the Battle of the Bulge, on 23 December 1944.
Ill get finished soon.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Nice one Lewis... Captured P47! Excellent idea. How about some more RAF repaints please? Would love to see a few.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Once this captured one is done I can look into some RAF ones, but the Luftwaffe one may take me a bit of time as the lettering on the fuse is playing silly bugger and I need to create my own guides.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Hi Lewis,
could you check something for me ?
In Gimp as well as in Photoshop Elements 7.0 there is no support for layer groups, they are simply not shown.
(may Adobe be blessed with something really itching for this decision )
So could you look for the groups in the P-47 templates and maybe ask Martin to add the group names to the layer names in later paintkits ?
I'll add my text file for the B-377 fuselage so you can see what I mean.

Re: P47 Razorback Paintkit
Hello there,
I'm new to the whole repainting world, but I just spent the better half of the day repainting this bird in my free trial photoshop 7.0 only to have this program dds converter 2.1 severely blur up the fine details on my nice paintjob. What do you guys use to convert psd files to dds files without the file quality going to poo?? I still have the files, I just need to convert them without losing quality. Can someone help me out? Thanks.
