KSFO/PHNL

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today i am flying from KSFO/PHNL , presently at cruise about 560nm into a 2000nm trip at FL280 , once again ASN has screwed the weather enroute , prior to t/o i got the enroute weather winds aloft was FL300 292/43 at FL240 300/31 and no sigmets/airmets , yet about 4 times sofar i have had moderate turbulance hitting the aircraft resulting in haveing to put seatbelt signs on.
On arrival at PHNL the ATIS was giveing weather as 040/14g20 vis 10nm/few clouds 2500ft scattered clouds at 5000ft/ temp 23/dewpoint 18/alt setting 3003 , the gusting winds and the engineer between them made it very hard to keep the approach speed correct , also think a gust caught the aircraft at a critical point on approach , as i seemed to balloon up slightly , which ment i landed further down the runway than planned , got a round of applause from cabin , but landing was not aced , as no copilot comment , but he did not grunt either , so not that shaby.
Engines still do not show any signs of ageing , i will have to experiment with the guppy , as no career to damage on that .
