NFFN PHNL

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Today i am on the return trip from NFFN/PHNL at FL250 for FL270 192nm from NFFN on a 2748nm trip sofar engs appear healthy .
At T/O i used the longest runway 20 away from the mountain , no wind and aircraft heavy.
getting a bit miffed with ASN , i am in cruise at FL270 some 457nm from NFFN and there is thunderstorms all around , with heavy to moderate turbulance , hitting aircraft with no warnings , then smoothe air , when i tune to 122.05 enroute weather , all i get is no sigmets no airmets on your route of flight , thunderstorms as far as i am aware come under sigmets/airmets as they always have turbulance , and should be avoided.
ATIS at PHNL was 050 at 16g22/vis 10 nm/few clouds at 2500ft/scattered clouds 4400ft/broken 6000ft light rain temp 23 dewpoint 18 alt 3011 , weather on approach on runway 04R improved slightly as it was a steady wind of 16 so no gusting to contend with, and aced the landing.
