Hi.
Just finished a 3.8hr flight in the guppy , engines at start and finish of trip are in excellent condition , no panic shouts from engineer over temps going high , so it looks like i am now getting use to the b377+guppy , i find the guppy is harder to fly than the pax version , as the engineer controls less things than the pax engineer does , this trip the guppy took off with max safe mtow , carrying cargo , and as much fuel after that as it could carry , and climbed to 10000ft.
Final fuel after shut down is 4761/1961/1960/4729 lbs.
Total hours on the pax+guppy since purchase on 31/oct16 is = 26.4 and 9.9 of the total is on the guppy.
regards alan.

The lack of turbos makes it a challenge because 10,000ft is about as high as youll get when fully loaded. Good luck trying to cross the rockies with a 10,000ft ceiling.

Re: KBFI to KSFO in the Guppy
Hi.
I did the best landing ever in the pax version yesterday , KLAX/PHNL , as for getting over mountains in the guppy , with a max alt of 10000ft , would take very careful planning to find bits that where low enough , i suppose i could always try the grand canyon run in it.
Regards alan.
