Captain Raebo, I don't know how old you might be, but have you, by any chance actually flown a real Stratocruiser, or its military counterparts?

Hi Guys.

Thx for the 377. My dad was part of the reconstruction of the Pacific at the end of WWII. I have many memories of the Stratocruiser flying from from Guam to Manilla, Kwaj, Johnston, Wake and many of the other pacific islands.

It was not unusual to take off on 4 and land on 2.

Looking forward to this add-on.

Very excited by this new project. I've been hoping for the WoS flagship 377 to be revisited one day!

Two minor wishes for this add-on:

1) Option to turn off passenger/stewardess interaction in case I'm AirHauler-ing in the 377 (already mentioned earlier in the thread). Would prefer a manual toggle to it being 'clever' and only turning off passengers when all the seats are empty. I might need to load those seats up with sheep, gold bullion, chickens etc. :D I know, I know, this one isn't really in the spirit of what CotS is trying to achieve...

2) Option of saving additional parameters concerning aircraft state between flights (oil levels for example). When a flight is initiated from scratch, the oil level is always reset. The engine state/wear is carried over, of course, but it would be great if the rest of the aircraft was as I left it.

I'm going to enjoy CotS whether these are included or not. A2A's vision and drive is second to none 8)

Hummm....I recall my oil levels remaining as I saved them. Try loading a saved flight twice. For some reason
some parameters do not seem to get loaded the first time but the second loading once you are in the sim
loads them.

Please do fix the oil levels so they are saved when autosaving a flight via FSUIPC. As you know, there are a few of us that have CTDs here and there, and it is incredibly frustrating to reload a flight after a CTD 9 hours into a 10 hour flight only to lose the oil levels.

Also a +1 for a modern NAV/GPS avionics set for IFR flight with VATSIM and if at all possible, modelling the 30º spark advance for super-lean engine operation for that extra range.

Many thanks!

Cheers,

- jahman.

Again, for me one of the important request for all of future accusim products:

- Aicraft state, condition and wear individual for every single aircraft (paint, type)!

So i can use one (paint) doing performance tests, another handling like eggs for worldwide trips, one for short flights etc.
I often stressed my trip- plane doing some heavy aerobatics with another (paint). That´s a pity.

Oh, Yeah! A big +1! (And so easy to implement...)

You could back up the .dat files! :D

Best regards,
Robin.

Why back-up .dat files when it would be so easy to do this programmatically (save the .dat file with the aircraft registration number).

Cheers,

Well, I like it the other way around. I can nurse my engines through their life without being restricted to only one variant. Free choice of liveries and flying theaters, thus is the freedom of flight simulation.

I'd prefer that you guys write a little tool that exchanges the .dat files at the click of a button for your purposes. After all, it's so easy, isn't it? ;)

With my system saved flights and reloading that flight is a bust every time,it would be a very nice feature too have shutdown levels and settings auto saved like the B-17G. Like Scott said it is more on the Captain end and developing a reputation of "Skippering" the flights. I think we will better understand why they didn't include some of these things, when we see the add-on.

Best Regards
Mark S.

With COTS, everything is saved with the aircraft (fuel levels, oil, systems, etc.) and we also have an automatic DAT backup that runs and saves a history for you. You probably will never need to restore an old DAT, but it is just there as a sort of insurance policy.

Scott.

While we are waiting anyone want to guess the price? If we add the 36.99 for base plane and then 24.99 for Accusim we get 61.98 so the wild card is Captain of the Ship. I think that will be another 24.99 so then we have 86.97. Now they usually offer a package deal if you buy everything so lets round that off to 79.99. Thats my guess.
