no blue surrounding the stars on the fuselage?

Thanks a lot. I take this model from a Squadron Signal P-40 book, they say it is a rare variation of the National Insignia only seen in the Pacific at 1942.

Cool, but wouldn't the roundels on the wings not be white-only as well?
The underside of the wings in the profile shows the US ARMY markings, but no star on the army side, so I assume it would only have one star on the upper side as well?
