Help with add-on aircraft config changes please

Post by ampharoah »

Hello

I would appreciate any help and/or advice that anyone would be able to offer please.

I have FSX Acc and Win7 and purchased 3D Lights Redux, naively thinking that the lights would miraculously install in my add-on aircraft! :roll:

Clearly that is not the case :oops: and a lot of work is clearly needed to install in each aircraft's .cfg. I have read Scott's 'Easy how to guide' over and over, but when I look at each aircraft's .cfg, the [LIGHTS] section never resembles anything like his example, and despite my best endeavors, I am lost! :cry:

Is there a good source of configs for recent aircraft stored anywhere by others with bigger brains than mine please? In my case this includes:

A2A C172
A2A Comanche
Aerosoft Airbus 319 & 320
Alabeo DA42
Carenado Phenom 100 & 300
Dodosim 206
Iris Grob Tutor
Leonardo MD11
Majestic Q400
PMDG J41, NGX, 747, 777, MD11

Help and advice from anyone who will take pity would be very much appreciated......

Thanks in hopeful anticipation :D

I generally am in short supply of pity, but you sound so pathetic I just had to try and help.

I don't know if this is any help, it's the best I can do

P.S. keep quiet about being English. They've still got a thing about Redcoats! :roll:

P.P.S. I shouldn't have to say this but I AM kidding witchoo. :D

Thanks Ron

Found that list thank you, but only the PMDG 747 is on it from the aircraft I listed. It seems incredible to me that Redux configs are not out there for main stream current brands like Carenado, Alebao, A2A, PMDG, Majestic, Aerosoft - all of which are to my understanding top selling products that must have volumes of Redux users who have somehow successfully modified their aircraft?

I even, once again naively assumed, that I would find them in A2A's Redux forum.... but nothing! Checked Avsim, nothing. A mystery to this Redcoat!

Regards

Andrew

To be frank, I think the fashion for Redux lights has...reduced somewhat. I can recall spending many a happy hour faffing with them. Up a bit, down a bit, left a bit, FIRE! Did my whole hangar full. How sad was THAT? :D
They were great when the lights on default and add-on aircraft weren't that hot. Now they're much better.

Carenado Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300

Post by wildtomcat »

Here are my Shockwave Lights configurations for the Carenado Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300

Carenado Embraer Phenom 100:
Original modifications from avsim.com forum

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 10, 8.20, 0.00, 3.00, fx_vclightcarpc,
light.1 = 10, 1.80, 0.00, 1.80, fx_vclightcarpcvc,
light.2 = 3, -2.0, -21.0, -.5, fx_shockwave_navred
light.3 = 3, -2.0, 21.0, -.5, fx_shockwave_navgre
light.4 = 1, -4.2, 0.0, 4.0, fx_shockwave_beaconb_nl

***************************************************************************************

Carenado Embraer Phenom 300:

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 10, 18.20, 0.00, 3.00, fx_vclightcarpt3,
light.1 = 3, -2 ,-24.80 , 0.5 , fx_shockwave_navred
light.2 = 3, -2 , 24.80 , 0.5 , fx_shockwave_navgre
light.4 = 5, 14 ,-1.35 , -0.99 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old
light.5 = 5, 14 , 1.35 , -0.99 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old
light.6 = 6, 13.8 ,-1.35 , -0.8 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.7 = 6, 13.8 , 1.35 , -0.8 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22

the Phenom 300 has four lights as landing/taxi lights. I only added two shockwave lights effects because four effects are too much light under its belly I think.

Regards

Stefan
