Almost a month now with the minor content errors and graphical stuff like the beacon light. Any news on a followup patch?

Hey, I might be able to help here. The beacon light on my Accu-sim Cherokee also wasn't working.

My ORBX map was covered in black squares. From somewhere I found the recommendation to un-check the 'DX10 preview', in Settings.

Voila! No black squares now - and my beacon light now works!

Which content errors?

For the control and effects we are awaiting Lockhee's fixes for the P3D Platform. They have tickets open and are working on the P3D issues for a future P3D update to the platform.

Gday Lewis, good to hear from you. Thanks for the news about the light being a P3D problem for LM to fix.

When Scott said "There are also some minor errors being reported upon exit of the P3DV3" I assumed he was talking about the notice P3DV3 provides on exit about logging content errors when using A2A aircraft to the content error log. Theres a tickbox in settings to turn it off, but I believe its on by default to log errors with content on exit.

I would be happy to help out A2A by doing testing with all the planes I have, and report back on what the content errors are. However it seemed to me that Scott already knew about it based on what he said. If A2A would benefit from me sending the test results I'd be delighted to help.

ahh right OK. That's a development tool, remember P3D is a professional development platform, for an end home user it serves no purpose and should be turned off. Its not be all end all error logger like some end users think it is.

Understood, Ill turn it off mate. I believe its on by default although I cant be 100% sure since I installed it. Im hoping there is no functional impact to these, I took a look and there is log errors about A2A aircraft gauges.

Yes its ON by default I believe, which shows the nature of the software really. I think Lockheed might be removing it or changing it a little to make it harder for a home user to get too.

The notes in the log are not all errors it just notes things its not aware off, so as soon as you go outside the box you get an 'error' mich like a false positive on anti virus software. Its also known to be buggy because of this so its not too useful atm but shows promise from the dev side for the dev platform of P3D.

I came across a strange issue: there are no passengers in the cockpit after I have installed the latest update.

It sounds like your advanced animations are not turned on in FSX settings.

I see passengers, but only from outside of the aircraft - they're not there when in VC. (Advanced animations is ticked.) Is this correct?

Your nose wheel also seems to be suspiciously absent! Are you using EZdok by any chance? Probably best if you start a new topic in the C182 support forum or see if this topic is any help...
