Completey uninstall

Post by WGMD »

Lewis, hi,

Question: some strange phenomena (MS default a/c, Espen's DC-9 and the Twotter X) after installing 3D. I'd prefer to complete uninstall the 3D. Seems tough via the main installer.

Since I never use MS default a/c's I tried re-installing my add-on's. Unfortunately this doesn't cure the problem. Seems a hidden link from 3D still existing somewhere.
Any clue how to completely get rid of all 3D lights ... ?

Sorry, uploading a screenie didn't work.
Thx a mill (and let's hope the A2A Piper will arrive soon ... )

Best! Willem

Hi Lewis! Did you survived the Cherokee release? A great add-on, I love it!

Here we go: 3D is causing some strange reflection above my normal landing lights.
I prefer to completely un-install and get back to the default lights. I started using 3D with Espen's DC-9 and the Twotter 300. Fortunately did not touch other add-on's.

Using the main-installer for uninstalling doesn't work.
Any clue how to delete all 3D ... ?

Thx for you help (and keep on developing things like the 172 and Cherokee),
Willem

Hello,

toy can remove the program from the control panel add/remove programs. Please note though that 3d lights only installs into the default aircraft. It will only affect aircraft to manually add the lights too.

thanks,

Lewis, hi again!

Bingo!
Although the REDUX uninstall is not A2A's 'all time best effort' to put it mildly (it showed a strange 'folder not found' or so error), I found the cause of all misery: some light settings in REX 4. Strange enough REX is interfering with landing lights on Espen's DC-9 and the Twin Otter. Rest of the fleet was not touched.

Fortunately your recent releases are way better and top-of-the-bill, i'm enjoying the 172 and Cherokee to the max.

Thx for your help and best!
Willem

Hello Willem,

yes I knew it wasn't our lights as unless you add then yourself using the guide in the manual they are not added to any third party aircraft only the default aircraft in sim.

thanks,
Lewis
