I had to reinstall Shockwave 3D Lights Redux and took the most recent version 1.2a. In reading through this forum I now know that was a mistake, I should have taken the original version first. I am now stuck with an incomplete installation (the default Cessna 172 has no lights at all!). I don't know how to remedy this, since both the original installer and the update installer have no uninstall option; I have tried numerous times to find the uninstall option in those installers, but can't manage to find one.
Hope that someone can help me out, for which many thx in advance.

I may be wrong but you may be able to uninstall it manually in you uninstall programs list on your computer the do a reinstall. I hope this works for you.

Thanks, Tug.
Shockwave is not listed as an installed program in Windows control panel under installed programs. So cannot use the Windows uninstall feature.

Re: No Shockwave 3d Lights in default aircraft
Hi Lewis,
Thank you.
Yes, I have tried a reinstall with the original version. This gives following error message:""Newer version available. This update is older than the version you already have installed. We strongly recommend visiting the www.a2asimulations.com/forum message boards to find and run the later version.""
This means I first have to remove the incomplete install of the update, before I can run the original complete version (and then update this thereafter).
How can I get rid of this incomplete install?
Thanks.

Markoil,
The uninstaller is an option in the installer, so run the main installer again and select UNINSTALL. Then try installing again.

Hi Scott,
Thanks.
I cannot find an UNINSTALL option in the installer of the original version I have on my system. This version is 1.2a. If this is the updated version, where can I re-download the main installer that you mention?
Thank you for your further help.

Mark,
Are you saying you run the original installer and you don't get a radio button option to install or uninstall?

You could try a folder search for shockwave lights an delete the folder with the lights program then re install. I'm just guessing but and be sure it is the right folder so you dont b---er any thing up.

Hi Scott,
Thanks.
No, didn't run the original installer. Ran: swlights_utility_v1.2a.exe. This has no uninstall option.
This must be an upgrade of the original version I purchased (version 1.0 or 1.1, bought with order # 49972 of March 27, 2009, product: A2A Sim 3D Lights Megapack). I no longer have this originally purchased version on my system (suspect it has been upgraded to version 1.2a).
Thanks for your continued support.

Hi Tug,
Thank you.
No, won't do. It seems I need the original installer. See my previous post.

Re: No Shockwave 3d Lights in default aircraft
Lewis,
Thanks so much.
Downloaded my original order from the A2A store and with it was able to uninstall the (partial?) install of the upgrade 1.2a version. Then installed the original version. All is working fine now with the default aircraft.
Support much appreciated!
