A2A Simulations - Mini Holiday update

Post by Lewis - A2A »

Hello everyone,

We will no doubt be saying this a lot over the coming days but lets get a good one out to everyone so we don't miss anyone... From all of us at A2A Simulations we wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy holiday season and a great New Year! May your time be filled with family, simming and aviation!

To kick things of a little early here are a few development shots from the in development Accu-sim Piper PA-28 Cherokee from our Lead Artist ROB. The project has already been given the nick name 'Red Devil' by the guys for obvious reasons.

Also the next Core update in in heavy testing at the moment and we hope to have update 1.5.5 out to everyone just before Christmas. The change log for 1.5.5 as it stand is;

CHANGES from v.1.5.2 to v.1.5.5
All Core Aircraft
- Faster FSX - Accu-Sim interface
- Exchanging air in the cabin evaporates more window fogging

C172 Trainer
Changes in this core update since the v.1.03 C172 update:
- Storing the pitot cover state
- Restored default landing lights (will offer illuminated lights as an option since this was the primary cause of missing VC clickspots)
- VC lights texture fix
- 2D panels. Walkaround: pitot tube cover
- Generator is more robust
- 2D panels. Controls. "Battery" is bright when the cockpit is dark
- Engine heater cable automatically detaches when planes moves or is in the air
- Fixed plaque on left wall
- Fixed annunciator panel glitch
- Vacuum pumps will last longer (typo)
- Fixed safety pins on the main wheel
- Slight reduction in yaw dampening (matched test flight)
- New Illumination DLL. This one supports custom lightmaps in livery folder
- Fixed door hinges
- Avionics direct entry compatible with FSUIPC
- Stabilized AP Glideslope tracking
- Adjusted the draw on some electrical items
- Default FSX checklists noted and removed

Omg i cant wait!!

This looks like my -140 sans the panel "hump" and updated cowling. I kinda wished you guys would've done the older "ugly duckling" cowling but at least its a hershey bar!!!

I WILL be buying this the second it comes out. P3D I hope?

Merry Christmas to all.

Couldn't help but notice the throttle quadrant of the Warriors and Archers is missing...

Still, I can't wait for this aircraft to be released!

Merry Christmas to All, and thank you very much for the excellent news!
Use your flight simulators with a well defined purpose...

Don't expect them to be "perfect" or to fully cover all aspects of simulated flight...

Try to enjoy it instead of stressing... ( in few words - don't be like me ... )

Yes!!! :D I was hoping this would be an old school Cherokee, but this is even cooler than I had hoped. 8) Love that panel! That's just plain awesome.

Merry Christmas, y'all!

Thank you Rob for putting this together. I know you and the boys have a lot of work on the table with all this Cherokee and all it's variants.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the A2A Staff and customers. 8)

Oh, that's perfect! Much as I've been enjoying the 172, it's too new and shiny for me... whereas the Cherokee looks like exactly the kind of beater I'd actually be able to afford. Really looking forward to this - I think it's going to be my main A2A ride.

So thanks! And Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, (belated) Happy Hanukkah, (belated) Happy Rohatsu, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Festivus to everyone at A2A, your families and friends, and the extended Accusim nation!

Will the erroneous behavior of the turn coordinator be corrected in this patch ? Also the sound for the mixture lever would be nice 8) .
