So where do the strobes belong on the 737NG?

Post by mynetdude »

I'm trying to fix up POSKY 737-800WL for FS9 but apparantly its missing quite a few things that aren't shockwave the only thing that was added to use shockwave were landing lights; everything else was left alone.

I dislike the POSKY strobe lights with a passion they look like christmas tree lights that are stuck on honey!

But it appears its missing altogether!

I managed to change out the beacon, the tail strobe and the yellow tail navlight marker which A2A didn't include with their fx_shockwave .fx files ;)

Code: Select all

737-800
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo

light.1 = 1, 1.600, 0.000, -4.500, Opensky_beacon ,
light.2 = 1, 9.300, 0.000, 9.300, Opensky_beacon ,
light.3 = 4, 57.000, 0.000, 3.500, Opensky_Boeing_vclight ,
light.4 = 3, 30.000, 0.000, -3.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // front cargo
light.5 = 3, -33.000, 0.000, -2.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // rear cargo
light.6 = 3, 40.000, 0.000, 4.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // pax door
light.7 = 8, 14.000, -36.000, 5.000, Opensky_wing_light , // wing/LE slat rays from inspection lights
light.8 = 8, 14.000, 35.000, 5.000, Opensky_wing_light , // wing/LE slat rays from inspection lights
light.9= 6, 60.000, 0.000, -12.550, Opensky-taxi-refl , // gear bay taxi light rays from taxi lights
light.10= 3, -62.000, 0.000, 7.000, Opensky_nav_yellow , // Tail Nav Light
light.11= 2, -62.000, 0.000, 7.000, fx_strobeh , // Tail Strobe Light
light.12 = 5, 16.30, -7.90, -1.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow	// Shockwave light
light.13 = 5, 16.30, 7.90, -1.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow	// Shockwave light
light.14 = 6, 50.40, 0.00, -6.20, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_tail_old	// Shockwave light
light.15 = 5, 16.30, -3.50, -4.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // Shockwave light
light.16 = 5, 16.30, 3.50, -4.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // Shockwave light

The strobe lights aren't in the effects and neither are the nav lights but I don't see them here either. I want to switch all the lights to shockwave and I've already done some of it already just need strobes and to replace the nav lights somehow. Editing isn't hard, but if I were to add them don't I need to remove the old ones somehow?

Here's MY version of the changed config from above ^^ (of course anyone can use it if they want).

Code: Select all

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo
light.1 = 1, 1.600, 0.000, -4.500, fx_shockwave_beaconh ,
light.2 = 1, 9.300, 0.000, 9.300, fx_shockwave_beaconb ,
light.3 = 4, 57.000, 0.000, 3.500, fx_shockwave_vclighth ,
light.4 = 3, 30.000, 0.000, -3.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // front cargo
light.5 = 3, -33.000, 0.000, -2.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // rear cargo
light.6 = 3, 40.000, 0.000, 4.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl , // pax door
light.7 = 8, 14.000, -36.000, 5.000, Opensky_wing_light , // wing/LE slat rays from inspection lights
light.8 = 8, 14.000, 35.000, 5.000, Opensky_wing_light , // wing/LE slat rays from inspection lights
light.9= 6, 60.000, 0.000, -12.550, Opensky-taxi-refl , // gear bay taxi light rays from taxi lights
light.10= 3, -62.000, 0.000, 7.000, Opensky_nav_yellow , // Tail Nav Light
light.11= 2, -62.000, 0.000, 7.000, fx_shockwave_strobe_l , // Tail Strobe Light
light.12 = 5, 16.30, -7.90, -1.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow // Shockwave light
light.13 = 5, 16.30, 7.90, -1.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow // Shockwave light
light.14 = 6, 50.40, 0.00, -6.20, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_tail_old // Shockwave light
light.15 = 5, 16.30, -3.50, -4.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // Shockwave light
