Hello I'm new and confused

Post by studentpilot55 »

I just joined the forum today and proudly say that buying shockwave 3d lights was one of the best investments i've made into my flight simulator x expirience! But know I would like to learn more about the program itself like changing the landing lights to xenon and things like that could anyone help me?

Congratulations on getting the 3D lights.

You may find these threads useful with regard to placing lights.

This thread is useful to see the various effects in game.

All the 3D light effects are stored in the 'Effects' folder of FS9 and FSX are prefixed with 'fx_shockwave_........', just look in that folder for the correct syntax when placing a light. I find it easier to copy the file name (just the name and not the file itself) and paste that into the 'aircraft.cfg' file and then delete the '.fx' extension as that is not required in the data line.

If you have any questions ask.....we are always willing to help customers get up and running with the product.
