Adding lines in the panel.cfg for taxi lights?

Post by EGPFGLA »

Hey all

Im new, i have got fs9 and love it, iv done so much to make it look a million dollors. Including the shockwave 3d lights.

Im have problems with nose gear taxi light. When the gears go up, the light dosnt move, it "hovers" under the nose. I have had a search and came across a thread saying you have to change the panel.cfg. Dose anyone know what i have to add to the file for the nose gear light to go off when the gear is retracked?. :?:

Thanks Alex

The answer lies in a 'sticky' thread (one with a 'push-pin' icon) on the '3D LIGHTS REDUX' forum.

Have a look here..... http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 32&t=11776

So all i add is- gauge21=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

I have add the 3d light in the aicraft.cfg, and put it as a taxi, 6=taxi. Is that all i have to add, or do i have to mod it further?

You will need to adjust the X,Y,Z co-ordinates for the light to locate it in the correct position. See this thread for more info....

You did add the 'gauge21=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light' line to the [vcockpit01] section of the 'panel.cfg' file I take it.

The light will not disappear until that line is added to the panel.cfg file.
