The 1.2 version release notes reference a "Yellow navigation light" being available. I have tried "fx_Shockwave_navyel" but did not work.
What is the letters after "nav___" to make this light work?
By the bye, glad to see this available.

Re: Yellow nav light
The correct command should be..... 'fx_shockwave_navyellow' ...and NOT 'fx_Shockwave_navyel'.
If you look in your 'FSX\Effects folder' you will see all the available Shockwave lights prefixed by 'fx_shockwave_' and with the suffix '.fx'. To ensure you have the correct syntax when adding lines to your 'aircraft.cfg' file copy and paste the name of the file you want to use (not the file itself just the file name) into the 'aircraft.cfg' file and then remove the '.fx' suffix. The lights will then appear as intended.

Re: Yellow nav light
My thanks for a lot of good to know information. This is going on the new FSX AlphaSim HU-16B, which left off even the white tail light plus the yellow light. This and the missing landing lights positions will be up in the data base by the weekend. Otherwise, this release is one of the best replicas ever done on the Albatross. If you look in your 'FSX\Effects folder' you will see all the available Shockwave lights prefixed by 'fx_shockwave_' and with the suffix '.fx'. Re: Yellow nav light
Be careful when it comes to the tail light. If it is on the moving part of the rudder/elevator then the light WILL NOT move when the rudder/elevator does. Lights set up within the [Lights] section of the aircraft.cfg file are static lights and do not move with the model parts. In order to have a light that moves with the rudder/elevator it has to be built into the model itself.bytes2009 wrote:This is going on the new FSX AlphaSim HU-16B, which left off even the white tail light plus the yellow light.

Re: Yellow nav light
Once again good advise. None of the lights were built in and so explains the missing tail light.Be careful when it comes to the tail light. If it is on the moving part of the rudder/elevator then the light WILL NOT move when the rudder/elevator does. In order to have a light that moves with the rudder/elevator it has to be built into the model itself.
Still having the tail lights may be useful for "planned" video or screen shots. The landing lights are the retractable type and not present on the model, thus you know the problem this will present -and has when looking from the rear forward. Such a great model to have such left offs!
Thanks,
