Panel CFG

Post by IVA739 »

Hey guys I know this is a stupid question but can someone please explain this? I am unsure which one to use for which. Thanks.

PANEL.CFG
Add the following line at the bottom of the [VCockpit01]
section changing 'XX' to the next available number
gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

or if the landing lights are attached to the UC legs or doors and they go out automatically on the stock lights when
the UC is raised then:
gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Well you need to put the first one in your panel.cfg of the aircraft you want to modify, just look in any panel folders (you may have more than one) that should reside in the aircraft directory your modifying. Open the panel.cfg file and do a search for "vco" it should take you to [VCockpit01] section first. If it doesn't find it, then go to the next panel folder and look at that panel.cfg.

Worth checking all panel folders for the [VCockpit01] since every addon aircraft is made slightly differently.

Then scroll to the end of that section and add the line
gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light
Remember To replace the XX with the next number in the list, ie one before it says guage15, you put gauge16.

The second panel.cfg edit is if you want your landing lights to go out and come on when the landing gear is raised or lowered (ie the aircraft your flying may have its landing lights attached to the gear). If you want this add the following after the above entry
gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light
Remembering to change the XX

One Last note Remember to BACKUP Any file before you change it :) it'll save a lot of hassle in the long run if something goes wrong in you editing.
