"nl" and "old" variants of the lights also exist, Which lights does this apply to ? and what is the correct command format to use ? Also the literature talked of recongition lights of yellow, red and green. What are the command to use these? Is there a larger tutorial

Re: Light Commands
Hi azeagle2,... "nl" and "old" variants of the lights also exist, Which lights does this apply to ?
The "old" applies to the landing lights. Just add "_old" to the landing lights.
Example: Fx_shockwave_landing_light_old
The "nl" applies to strobes and beacons. Just add "_nl" to the lights selected.
Example 1: Fx_shockwave_beacon_nl
Example 2: Fx_shockwave_strobe_nl
Do not hesitate to just try it out. Please always back up your "aircraft.cfg" before modifying it. If anything goes wrong you'll always able to restore the original file.
I hope this was helpful.
Best regards

Re: Light Commands
Hello,
my "old" command dosen't work. When I'm adding "old" (for example landing_light_old) no light appear
Also "SW_Lights_taxi_gear" in panel.cfg does not turn off the taxi lights after gear up.
Can anyone help?

Re: Light Commands
Look in your 'FSX\Effects' folder (or 'FS9\Effects' if you are using that sim) for all the Shockwave lighting effects which are prefixed with 'fx_shockwave_XXX' and make sure you have the correct syntax for the light you want to use. Just one letter or underscore wrong will mean your lights will not show. You DO NOT need the '.fx' suffix in the command line in the aircraft.cfg file.Zgredd wrote:Hello,

Make sure the line is correct in terms of syntax (i.e. gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light), that you have incremented the 'XX' to the next number in the list and that it is in the [VCockpit01] section of the panel.cfg file. If all the above are correct your light should go out when the gear is raised.Zgredd wrote:Also "SW_Lights_taxi_gear" in panel.cfg does not turn off the taxi lights after gear up.

Re: Light Commands
Thx for reply.
I'v found all fx_shockwave in EFFECTS folder - thank you. Just manual is written very odd.
But 2nd problem - i'm doing exactly what should be done (I think) and nothing (airplane - Wilco Embraer 170).
From my panel.cfg:
gauge00=EJet!PFD1VC, 2, 4, 321, 407
gauge01=EJet!PFD2VC, 328,5, 321, 407
gauge02=EJet!MFD1VC, 0,424, 325, 407
gauge03=EJet!MFD2VC, 328,424, 321, 407
gauge04=EJet!EICASVC, 657,4, 321, 407
gauge05=EJet!RevVC, 657,477, 164, 157
gauge06=EJet!Clock, 654,652, 185, 176
gauge07=EJet!ISIVC, 840,476, 165, 156
gauge08=EJet!Wiskey, 845,651,165,98
gauge09=EJet!LowVC, 844,752, 167, 71
gauge10=EJet!AP, 0, 839, 1024, 118
gauge11=EJet!Caution,728,414,58,58
gauge12=EJet!Warning,664,415,58,58
gauge13=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light
And with F-16 from Aerosoft all works fine...

Re: Light Commands
Which section of the panel.cfg file is that data from?
[WindowXX] or [VcockpitXX]?

Re: Light Commands
Just checking .Zgredd wrote:[Vcockpit01] of corse.
In theory the lights should work but as I don't have that aircraft in my hangar I can't check it for you here.
Do the taxi lights have a single switch in the VC or are there two switches for taxi left and taxi right?
It could be that Wilco coded the lights in some strange way on the model and that is why it is not working.
Hmmm....just as a matter of interest, in the aircraft.cfg file [Lights] section what number is in the first position after the '=' sign for the line that contains the taxi lights? I have highlighted the number in question in the example below:
- light.7 = 6, 8.00, 0.25, -2.0, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22// taxi light
- //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo 10=cabin
