Bluie scenery

Post by FireRescue85 »

Does anyone happen to know if there is any scenery to support the Bluie airfields in Greenland? I tried searching on some of the forums on various scenery pages but I haven’t found anything.

Bluie scenery

Post by Jacques »

I remember looking for that a few years ago and, finding nothing, I looked at Narsarsuaq airport on Google maps and determined that it was close enough to serve the purpose of Bluie West One. (Edit: actually I think it IS Bluie West One)
Just editing here: Bluie West 8 which is now known as Kangerlussuaq (formerly Sondre Stromfjord), but no known period airfields...and one other...Bluie East 2 built just North of Angmagssalik (according to wikipedia). That doesn’t make much sense because just north is the Large bay followed by exposed rock terrain. But East of that location is Kulusuk Island which does have a small, gravel airfield.
