How to operate B-17 old army video

Post by LZ-WIL »

Hi,

I found two very good "how to operate B-17" old army videos. I apologize, if those have been already posted here.

Start up and ground operations:

Flight Procedures:

P.S. I enjoy how familiar most of those operations seem after flying A2A B-17 and reading the aircraft manual.

Hi.
I knew about these, as we have some good links on the 91st bombardment group web site , as we re enact the b17`s of the 91st bomb group , with the 322,323,324th and 401st bomb sqd`s.
We have highly modified A2A B17`S , that we fly in close formation , with special scenery , and an aptly named pucker module , that can damage your B17 , from engine damage to fusalage damage , and i suffered both on the last bomb run , limping back on 3 engines , with low fuel and severe fuslage damage , that caused vibration so bad it was hard to see the gauges , and ended up with a flapless landing , that turned out to be so good , i got complemented , and you know how fussy the B17 crew are.
If anyone is interested in flying A2A warbirds in close formation on joinFS , look us up.
