B-17G 44-6838 'Spirit of Martinez' flew with the 335th BS of the 95th BG from Horham in Suffolk. It flew 50 missions and was named by its first pilot, Lt Frank Calicura, from Martinez, Cal. He also flew her back to the US in late 1945, to be scrapped at Kingman, Arizona.
