Good Flight!

Post by danb12 »

So recently I havent being flying anything other than my '17...

Today I flew from Bristol to Liverpool on Vatsim (weather was worse than predicted but still just about OK... Over the last few days I have flown from Duxford (home of Sally B) to Bournemouth, then onto Bristol and now I am in Liverpool. Everything is going OK and I am now up to 105hrs on the airframe and about 75hrs on the engines .

Here are a few screenshots that were taken en-route between 2 of my waypoints, Shobdon on the England/Wales border and Sleap, before the haze closed in. They have been auto-corrected in Microsoft Office Picture Manager... nothing serious and not much was altered!!

I hope you enjoy!

Dan

Hi,

Very nice shots, very clear and crisp! Thanks for sharing. The weather I find to be OK, at least it looks great on the shots.

Thanks! The weather was beautiful then... it then became hazy at 6000m but seemed a lot worse... I still love the B-17... always come back to it!

Hi FR85,

That is Orbx England... I have Orbx Wales too but haven't installed it since moving over to steam so had an annoying section of default in there but it wasn't too bad!

Cheers Piper! I keep looking at the Connie and i bought the 377 when it was on sale, but just can't bring myself to buy/install as I still enjoy the B-17 so much and dont really fly passenger type flights...

Hi Lewis,

Thanks!!

It wasnt too bad... I was flying vfr, only when the haze was worse than expected and a phone call from my sister meant I lost where I was and almost made an approach to the wrong airport but hey ho! I love flying her to Airshow venues as Sally B would... it is such a good aircraft!

It was Hawarden I believe... he had cleared me to the chest vrp and asked if I had the field in sight so I had a look though the haze and confirmed 'yes we have the field in sight...' only to turn downwind and think, "I'm sure Liverpool has water on one side... oops!!)

Haha! Always good fun!

Does anyone know why my screenshots are showing as unavailable?

Thanks,

Well for me it's only number 4 and 5 that are not showing. The other ones show up fine.
