Good morning and a happy new year to all. I would appreciate some help and perhaps a comment about RTM!
I've tried to fly the aircraft according to the book by keeping the throttles wide open and using the turbo controller to alter the manifold pressures. I just can't get enough adjustment, though. Whatever I try doesn't allow me to, say, regulate the pressures to 34" for cruising. By leaving the manifold selector at perhaps six or seven then I can manage just fine with using the throttles.

Re: Turbo versus throttles
That is the way to do it. Remember to add turbo if you carb heat is low. The intercooler lever will do some of it but when descending you may have to go to 8 in order to keep a healthy carb temp.
Kind Regards

Re: Turbo versus throttles
Thanks for the quick reply, Tomas. I just thought that I should get enough manifold adjustment with the throttles wide open and using the turbo control. Unfortunately I can't get the pressures low enough.
