First B-17 repaint

Post by geopetlas »

Hey guys,

Having done two repaints of the Cessna 182, I decided to try and do a repaint of my favorite plane, the B-17.

This is the result of my first attempt at the Big Bird. It is a fictional aircraft from the 100th BG. Her name is Annie Mae.

I always felt that he B-17 is a sledgehammer whereas the Cessna 182 is like a precision screwdriver. I wanted a sledgehammer that has broken up a lot of concrete so I painted her to depict a lot of wear.

I hope you enjoy and I welcome any suggestions.
BTW, I've already toned down the kill markings.

Note: I added censor marks for posting.
