Thanks Lewis. A complex cockpit like this one can take a very long time, in fact I could do 4 or 5 plane exterior repaints in the time it took to do this cockpit. Maybe that is why there are so few painters doing them.

I love painting planes and such and when I have the time, between paying jobs, I try to get in an A2A repaint of some kind.

This has actually pushed me over the fence on whether or not to pick this plane up. Even if I end up not liking the repaint, I'm pleased it exists. I think the spitfire could use a similar touch up and maybe a few higher res spots. I'll likely pick up the b-17 tomorrow now!

While I rarely have time to fly A2A's birds lately, the B-17 is perhaps my favorite of their aircraft; in addition to being a great technical sim, the ambiance of the crew and atmosphere of the cockpit just make it a joy to fly. The great repaints add another depth of interest! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Well it's been almost a year from the last post so I thought I would bump this up for anyone that has not seen it yet.

Well I admit it. I missed these the first time around but better late than never eh! Excellent job Paul.

Now, if A2A would make the original bmp/psd files available perhaps more versions would start appearing.

Cheers Paul.

Hey are you still up for creating a custom cockpit? The pinup version?

@Captain Rodney - it's available here at Flightsim.com. The download includes the pin-up and non-pin-up versions. You can also find it at Sim Outhouse - it's hard to link to individual files there but search for "B-17 weathered and worn cockpit number 2" in the file library. Hope this helps.
