Hello to all,
in the checklist "engine start" 6. open cowl flaps, set to LOCKED.
How can I lock the cowl flaps ? I didn't find anything in the manual.

On the center console on the left side of the cowl flap switches is a button "speed control",
does it control the keyboard or mouse input speed ?

Regards
Jochen

Look at cowl flap switches - they have three positions - Close - Locked - Open.
Middle setting is `locked`. As the manual states, these are actually NOT switches, but valves directly connected to the hydraulic system so if you leave the switch to the left or the right the system is charged and operating.

The speed switch is, I believe, to adjust the proportional valves for the hydraulic systems to change the rate at which the cowl flaps respond to the cowl flap switch and has nothing to do with keyboard or mouse, nor any function in the sim that I can yet determine.

If you leave the "speed" adjustment at its default setting, the cowl flaps open/close rather quickly.
I find that changing the speed adjustment to the minimum setting of "1.0" allows for more
precise setting of the cowl flaps. Just hover the mouse over the adjustment and use the
mouse wheel to adjust it.
