That is one beat-up B-17 right there!

Am also having no luck downloading any of these re-paints, would probably suggesting closing/deleting this thread if all these paints are no longer available - I notice they are mostly 3 years old,...unless the point of this thread is to reminisce over how the B-17 'could' be re-painted :?

Sorry to hear that - I must just have been trying to download all of his great paints. Is a real shame all his great work can not continue to be enjoyed :(

Yes, sorry to hear this. A damn shame if true.

But someone somewhere must have a copy of these planes. I've been trying to get a hold of Geewiz, as he is also a member of the 401st and I'm pretty sure he has these planes, but so far no response to any of the emails I've sent.

So, if anyone has a copy of nath2889's 401st planes, please contact me. I will happily give them a home on the 401st web site where they will not be lost. Our web site is not going anywhere anytime soon. :)

Really sorry to hear of his passing - always a sad thing.

There's a few of his repaints here:

However the majority are not, and even crawling his site with the wayback machine isn't much help since the rapidshare links are all dead. I unfortunately only picked up the B-17 yesterday so I don't have any saved, but a lot of them look nice and it'd be great if people had them and could share them with you to host on the 401st site.

I managed to get copies of his 401st repaints from Geewiz. Thanks.

I guess the dilemma for me now is, if he's gone, do I host them on our Site without his permission? I'm assuming it is OK, or he wouldn't have placed them on a file-sharing service, but you never know. There's always someone who might make a fuss. :)

If he has passed away this is sad news for me to hear. Years back he cranking out a lot of repaints and I was under the impression he was a young man. I say in honor of him you put up his work for everybody to enjoy. He worked hard and put a lot of hours into his repaints.

Wow awesome if that's true Spamcam.I did a video webcam conference with him several years ago it didn't work quite right but my mother and I saw him.
I have a bunch of his old 463rd BG paints even some that are now missing from his site.

Spamcan51? Can you have him contact me? I'm writing an article for the 401st BGA on people who have done repaints of 401st aircraft and would love to include him in it. He can contact me here, privately, if he likes. At the very least, I assume he'd like to know his planes are being featured on our site among others and I'd like to know if he doesn't want them there. :)
