B-17g trim glitch

Post by redcock »

My 17 has become unflyable. The elevator trim keeps going to full nose down. When brought back to neutral it returns nose down. Overhauled, various trim settings tried.Saitek yoke. All other A/C OK.Everything else works OK. I miis my 17. Redcock

Hello,

what changed on your system from it going to working to not working?

It sounds like a mis-mapping on the controls, have you checked the input configurator for the B-17?

thanks,

Don't use configurator.Other A2A warbirds OK.Question! If I purchase a new one will the problem be solved? IT's the only A?C with this glitch. Cannot reinstall, disc is damaged.Had this bird since it first appeared never any problems.Could problem be hydraulic? Are these problems normally resolved by complete overhaul?Would glitch be removed without Accusim? Redcock

Hello,

Have you checked the input configurator for the B-17 to see if a stray mapping has been assigned?

thanks,

Have you checked to make sure the C-1 or FSX default AutoPilots are not enabled?

Glitch is gone. Must have gremlins.I really went through systems .Nothing came up.My first suspicion is always the autopilot. This is one of those revolving yellow sheet problems.Flew the Jug and lo! when I returned to the 17 the problem was gone.A/C is now on top line.
