Prop sound

Post by WRBRD »

First I absolutely love these aircraft. Keep up the great work.
Second , I noticed when you bring the prop rpm down the prop sounds and looks as if its speeding up and vice versa.
Is this an FSX sound handling glitch?

The prop pitch lever in the spit is the opposite of many aircraft. Are you sure you are increasing your prop pitch to bring down the rpm?

With power maintained and then bringing back the prop rpm (indicated) you seem to get the reverse effect.

OK, yes, I remember the group that worked on that FM started simulating the increase in torque / propeller efficiency with the lower RPM. What you are hearing is this increased bite from the prop and engine. The sound engine actually increases the pitch a bit. It was a compromise they were doing at the time.
