Hi Guys

Wonder if you can help me with a sound problem. I have been using both the 109 and Spitfire in FSX without problems. However now when panning to the right the engine sounds go (in both the 109 and Spit). I have re-installed both the 109 and Spitfire but no change. I have installed the spitfire onto another system and they appeared to work ok so I have then copied all the working files (sound files and CFG) to the non working one. Still no change. I have also copied the default sound files from the working FSX sound file system to the non -working system. Still no change.
I have read on another thread that changing the sound CFG file may help with this problem. What changes do I make and to which parts of the sound file?

Stewart

Are you getting this issue in the cockpit or outside?

HI
And thanks for the reply. I have managed to sort the problem. It was actually a faulty lead in my head phones. The sounds would appear in each ear but when in virtual cockpit and you panned from left to right the sound would vary but becomes less on one side. However when selecting another aircraft they would reverse - sides in terms of loss of sound. So I decided to play a music CD and the sound appeared to be in stereo so I presumed all was ok with the head phones. However for some reason I decided to try another pair of head phones an all was well even though I could still hear bilateral noise from both ear pieces of the faulty set.................However thanks for the reply. The moral of the story is.............don't presume the software is to blame.
