Scott,
You seem to be everywhere (thanks for the e-mail response regarding my address change.
If you can spare a few minutes, there is something I've been curious about for some time now. Could you give us a general description of just who the Shockwave Team is?
I've looked at the "About Us" page but it really tells us very little about you folks. If this has been covered somewhere else I apologize.
Thanks,
A Grateful Fan...
Shockware Team...who are you?

We have development groups, one of which is the Wings of POWER development group. Each product is a project - WWII FIGHTERS being the most recent one.
There are a lot of talented / knowledgable people out there, but what distinguishes us I believe is our work ethic. To finish a project is everything. To take criticism and see the project's main purpose is essential. It comes down to sacrifice too - there is much of that on our team. That is the balancing weight.
You've seen K make appearances on the forum - he is a 3D artist as is Rob. Each person on this team is quite simply the best not just in quality but in attitude. I don't want to sound cocky, but no aircraft looks, sounds, or flies like Wings of POWER. We know why that is, and we also know why others arn't, and we know all too well what it has taken from us to create them. We push to exhaustion, but one of the nicest parts of working that hard is when you let the ship sail. We're proud, but we're also tired.
Also, let's be clear, each and every one of us has a tremendous support system who makes sacrifices as well, by standing behind us when we work around the clock.
Scott.

Scott,
Thanks for the response but I'm going to be a little more demanding (something you never see). I've found out more about you from the SimQH website then I can/have from Shockwave. The Shockwave site does have some of your music (I put several on my iPod) but it doesn't explain your musical background. For those of your customers who don't know, this is your short bio from the SimHQ site:
"I spent the first 15 years of my adult life as a working musician, playing 5-6 nights a week. Our band warmed up for Air Supply, and later served as a software specialist for Emagic Logic Audio professional recording software. We also wrote jingles for national commercials including ESPN, Moet and Chandon Champaign, and Olympic Stain paint. During this time, I managed to get in 2 years of college at the University of CT and Hartford. In 1994 I purchased a Piper Warrior II aircraft. After meeting my soon-to-be wife, I had to get serious and get a steady income, so I used my computer skills to start the computer networking company, Northstar Network Group Inc."
"As well as being the owner of Northstar Network Group Inc., I'm a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, A+ Certified Tech, Citrix Certified, Microsoft Authorized Systems Builder, and HP Netserver service authorized."
"My hobbies include combat aviation book collecting, concentrating on flight testing, playing music, audio engineering, and of course, flight simulations."
When you folks have some time, I know that is a precious commodity, it would be nice to see something like that at the Shockwave website for the whole team along with a general description of your functions within the team. Shockwave is making a name for itself in this community, it would be nice for your customers to actually get to know who Shockwave is.
"Also, let's be clear, each and every one of us has a tremendous support system who makes sacrifices as well, by standing behind us when we work around the clock."
Besides being blessed, that comment says a lot about you. I spent 30.5 years on active duty. While I had the honor of wearing the uniform, my wonderful wife, and our two sons, served every bit as much as I did.

Excellent story CWOJackson.
Scott that's amazing by the way what musical instruments did you play?
I myself use to play guitar.
I have an extremely rare Vintage 1969 Rickenbacker model 341/6 with psychedelic pearl translucent swirl patterns with a built in color show.
Only 30 of them were made.It looks like this model in this picture at the bottom right except that one is a 12 string.

I also use to own a 1958 Rickenbacker model 325 Capri(Jumbo) prototype model V100 3/4 fret scale. It was sold to the band Cheap Trick.
I wish I kept it.I have to kick myself in the ass for selling it.

We understand this, but the Internet being what it is, and the world being what it is today, many of us value our privacy and prefer to work anonymously. Our work, we hope, speaks for itself. There are many products -- most, in fact -- that are made by people whose names we will never know but they are great products just the same. These days, personal privacy is very important, particularly on the Web.CWOJackson wrote:Scott,
