Hello, i have enjoyed using the wings of power 2 ww2 fighters pack for a while now and only recently updated fsx to SP2. all was fine untill then. now when i try to rip it up in a spitfire or 109 or any of the aircraft in the pack i get a black screen covering all views similar to someone covering your eyes when trying to fly, very annoying. i was hoping to find an update for SP2 but have had no luck so far. also i seem to be the only one to have this problem. most aircraft i download now dont work and this black screen thing happens. only a couple of new downloads that dont work without the SP2 update will work now. the ukmil chinook and some guys bristol beaufighter, I WANT MY FIGHTERS BACK!!! also my WOP lancasters dont work but thats another story for another forum.

Okie dokie,

For the spitfire, 109 and p47 you can use the FSX Patches as found in there individual forums under WINGS OF POWER II.

What SP2 does is remove a-lot of the remaining backwards compatibility so before the patch you are in fact running an FS2004 model in FSX. This is also a problem with most download sites as many are not monitored so what some people upload as FSX are in actual fact just FS2004 models. However,....

To get the best out of any FS2004 models you may want to fly the best advice is to fly in dx9 mode (this is default) and by turning the light bloom graphic option off. That should have most of the problems sorted, although you may still get the odd bug and Frame rate hit using the older model format.

Thanks,
Lewis
