Armor Glass and Retractable Armor Plate Error

You will need to do a revision of the retractable screen in front of the pilot---it was solid armor plate, not clear, and there was a clear piece of armor glass behind the gunsight and which conformed to the shape of the aft end of the windscreen. See the authoritative:

Pages 30-32 have detailed views of the protective installations in front of the pilot and clearly show the retractable screen was armor plate, not glass. Page 124, top/right, shows the armor glass mounted at the rear of the windscreen frame.

Certainly this won't be a tough fix. Cheers.

Yes, I think you're right. From the photographs it does look like a solid metal sheet. No wonder it was removed on later versions.
