Similar intermittent problems for me as well- the canopy was stuck in the open position on one occasion after opening via Shift + E, but clicking on the canopy release handle in the VC closed it just fine...

Just had a similar problem in the A7, after the flight went to open the canopy, the depressurisation and canopy opening sounds played but the canopy on the model remained closed

I too get this same problem
