How Much will an A2A Flying Hours Point Be Worth

Post by caleb1 »

Are the A2A staff able to tell how much an A2A Flying Hours point will be worth when redeemed when the new store is released, or is this something that can not be told to the public yet?

Thanks
Caleb Byers

I think you will find that it will be announced when the new library is ready.

I was asking now because I was interested in buying something *now* for FSX and I am wondering how many points I might get for it if I want to update to the P3D version of it later.

I don’t think you’ll get points rewarded for purchases that are done already are you? Even though that would be awesome. I would get points for most of my FSX products then. But I think Chris is right. We’ll find out once the new store is online.

Until then happy flying

This point cropped up in a thread I started a while ago. According to Lewis, 'Flying Hours' will be applied retroactively. So if this holds true, it could be very interesting for long term shoppers on the A2A site. Here's the post in question.

Wow this is amazing! I didn’t think they would go that far but that’s great news for all long term customers. I didn’t spend as much as you but quite a lot of money too.

Thanks for sharing that information!

Give it time. What I spent is spread over 10 years, roughly $100 per year so not that much in the great scheme of things.

So they do apply to purchases made before the new store is out, correct?

I did spend quite a lot since I started with the Cessna 182T in 2014 though. So it’s nice to see that A2A will reward this.

Going after what Lewis said in the thread bladerunner shared they will yes.

Caleb I would certainly think they would apply to all purchases of A2A aircraft whenever bought.I for instance have all of A2A's products and would be pig sick if I had nothing and all the newbies were given discounts.

Cheers Chris

I don't think "loyal customers" could mean anything other than the people having bought many products already.

However, I, for one, will gladly give my old "Flying Hours" to someone with less funds. I am happy to pay full price for anything that A2A releases. :-)

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Do we know if you can "give" your flying hours to anyone on this new store system?

Hey peoples,

Yes it will be applied to our loyal A2A Store users.

Just a heads up though its a manual process to do this due to a bunch of changes with the new store format and products. So please keep this in mind as I'll be doing this manual data entry one by one for a good while. Whilst I'm doing this once live Nick will be sorting the next load of stuff out including the Spitfire.

thanks,
