Nah, T-33 stall speed is way too fast for that 90 knots clue. This pretty much applies to almost all jets. :)

So your guess would be a turboprop then?

I would think it would be a turboprop,if only for the reason that the turboprop is in keeping with the progressive development and not jumping straight from GA to jets.

Hi.
I think a bristol britannia would be good progression in the cots , its a 4 engined turboprop , i worked on the mk1 and mk2 that the RAF had at briz norton in 1970 to 1975 , and still have my electrical notes from the course i did on them.
These aircraft had bristols own designed engines , not as you might expect RR engines and lots of steam gauges and a 5 man crew.
regards alan. 8)

Sure I’ve seen somewhere that flaps and gear down gives 89knot stall speed.

Edit:
Found my t33 pilots manual

I don't know really what to guess at this point - outside that U-2 that is!

You'd really wouldn't be casually setting the power and trim for 90 knots in an airplane that stalls at 89 when light, me thinks. :) You'd likely be riding it buffeting in a partial stall with astronomical precision to keep it flying there, and that 85 knots won't make it too much easier.

Oh yeah I forgot a out the U-2

I don’t think it’s a T-33 with those stall speeds either.

What about the Sian Marchetti SF 260.

That seems to fit the bill.

What’s the SF-250? I only know the SF-260 but that exists with a turboprop conversion and that would be awesome indeed!

Happy flying

What is the stall speed of a Hermès that Lewis mentions?

Lewis and Alan, a Hermes or Britannia would be incredible! I'd love either.

There are no flying examples left. I'd score them as slightly more unlikely to ever get than a lanc. :(

I’m hoping for something more like a PC-12 or a Cessna Caravan even though that’s very unlikely.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-....! A winner! I'd absolutely drool to have either on simulator. They would be absolutely perfect for my kind of sim flying.
