Looking at the range of Global openLC Products specifically North America. Does anyone have any experience with this? I currently have trees, and global base.
A bit hesitant to randomly purchase, I am glad I did not get vector with all the headaches of airports at the bottom of the ocean, etc.

Be sure to get the excellent freeware airports: Airports of Norway (AoN), and Norway GA Airfields, from Flightsim.no
These addons are so good as to be almost payware quality.

All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

Re: ORBX Anniversary Sale
I highly recommend Vector and the OpenLC's, especially while they are on sale. If you do run into an airport elevation issue you can manually disable the correction in the configuration tool.crippy wrote:Looking at the range of Global openLC Products specifically North America. Base + Vector + OpenLC North America is excellent in FSX! And I have Orbx trees. Just run FTX Central's airport elevation correction tool periodically and most anomolies will be fixed.

Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll give it a try. Those prices are just to good to be true especially with the exchange rate to the Australian Dollar. I’ll also check out the freeware.Medtner wrote:Norway is a masterpiece. I love it to death.Piper_EEWL wrote:I was considering to get Norway to. Is it good?del wrote:Thanks for the info. When i have an airport eleveation issue, I use the tool that came with FS Global Ultimate NG FTX, it works really nice.

Hi,
I bought OpenLC Europe and OpenLC North America. Such a big difference compared to the Global Base pack alone.

Re: ORBX Anniversary Sale
Hi,
I’m essentially practicing visual flight without any radio guidance when possible. No GPS at all.
I preprate and execute my flights the old way with some dead reckoning. I use sectional charts, plotter and E6B emulators and I fly over photorealistic sceneries (currently I use MegaSceneryEarth). I know ORBX sceneries are nicer at low level but are they accurate enough to be « flown by the charts » ?
Maybe someone could advise me on that point.
