RIAT departure day, 2017

Post by Paul K »

The Royal International Air Tattoo ( RIAT ) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire is, I believe, now the biggest annual military airshow in Europe. This video shows many of the participants heading for home on the Monday morning. Most of the NATO airforces are represented, along those from further afield, such as Ukraine, Jordan, Japan and Australia. A good selection of vintage aircraft too, including a privately owned OV-10 Bronco. The video closes with a U-2R heading for home.

Closely followed by the B-52 and B-1B!

Full screen, headphones and a cold one are mandatory.

I love the Sukhoi Flanker family. If a plane looks right, it flies right, and by heck do they look right! 8)

Beautiful videos thanks for sharing Paul. I too like the Su and Mig designs, esp the 29, they do look great.

Cheers chaps. It's quite a range of aircraft to see in one day. Pity he wasn't there to film the C-5 Galaxy's departure. :)
