One option in FSX is to have two sound channels one for voice and one for everything else, engine and environment. When using a certain A320
it works great with Engine and environment on my Realtek speakers and voice on my USB headset and microphone no problems however on the
A2a Cessna 182 Skylane the Engine/Environment and Voice come through on the USB headset with nothing on the Realtek speakers. I would
really love it to be the same as the competitions Airbus A320. Maybe I have something setup wrong? can anyone offer a reason why this is so?
Thanks and regards
Clive

Re: Sound from two channels
I have now got outside sounds on the speaker so maybe that's how it should be?

A2A generated sounds always pay through the default sound playback device in Windows. They do not use the FSX sound system for their custom sounds.

Re: Sound from two channels
Hello,
yes as Oracle mentions for realistic sound we have to create our own sound engine external to the sims default generic one. As standard the sound will play through the windows default device.
thanks,
Lewis

Great!
Many moons ago, I need a callsign for online gaming. I'm talking early 90's, text based games over a 33.6K dial up.
I used to go by Alex Khoury on several online ASCII text based Battletech RPGs (MU*).
Alex K wasn't a callsign, but I needed one for some simulation league play. I work in IT and did a lot of database work at the time. Oracle sounded like a cool name, so I borrowed it and have used it since.
