SimConnect error

Post by hansi46 »

I have installed Prepar3D v4.1 and I have also installed the new update from A2A. I have the A2A Cessna 172 and the ground steering is now working :-)
When I start P3Dv4.1 and my Cessna 172 I get the following message on the start screen "Microsoft Flight Simulator X SimConnect Error has been detected, restarting connection"
I have not seen this message before. Can anyone tell what is wrong and what I eventually can do about it?

The problem is solved :-)

Just for info:
When I upgraded to Prepar3d 4.1 I only updated Client and Content.
Today I uninstalled Content 4.1 and installed the "old" Content 4.0

After this the error regarding SimConnect disappeared.

So nothing was really solved? I mean, if you reverted back to V4.0 and didn't have it then and don't have it now but did have it with 4.1 that means there's some kind issue still?

This is why I never ever under any circumstances upgrade till I wait a month or more till the inevitable bugs are worked out. This 4.1 version seems to have more holes in than a Swiss cheese.

I've had this message several times in the past. In P3Dv3 and v4(once) I put it down to SimConnect not stepping up to the plate in time so A2A starts it up again. Nothing to get convulsed about.

Thanks Ron, I have never seen this in any sim, FSX or P3D.

Normally caused by a simple flight load issue, if you update to a new sim version its best to start new flights etc an don't used save flights from the previous version.

thanks,
