For what it's worth, I'd put my vote in for something in the Convair CV-240 family. I think it would make a great, smaller companion to the Connie. These planes have always seemed somehow underappreciated to my mind, especially in comparison to the Douglasses and Lockheeds of that era.

How much of a stretch is a DC-4 from that? Hopefully close enough for the purposes of the liveries.
