What about an accusim helicopter ?

What about an accusim helicopter ?

Post by RobertF »

On P3D we don't have any good helicopter. It would be nice to have a simple one, but working like the original in real world. All heli simmer would pay the price to have something outstanding.

I'm not much for helicopters but I wouldn't hesitate to buy an Accusimmed piston engined chopper!

i guess it will be a challenge for the A2A team, since most helicopter uses a gas turbine engine. same goes for Creating the Cessna Grand caravan which is a gas turbine-turbo prop and uses different fuel system and mechanisms than a piston engine. (correct me if im wrong pls.)

but if A2A team ever gets to make a turbine helicopter, then we should expect to see some turbo-prop planes and turbine jets (i cant wait  , gotta calm my nerves* ).

@AviationAtWar
but it would be nice indeed to see a piston helicopter made by the A2A team. it would quickly be ranked as the Top "Must buy helicopter in Flight simulators"

the R-22 would be quick and easier to make, i believe;..
just that its very common in the simulation world.

Nothing planned at the moment, no one here has an rotor license or time.

What about a hybrid, like a Caravan with a rotor. I bet Amazon would buy them. :D :D

You are very serious at A2A. I am sure most of helisim publishers don't have any access to a RL helicopter when they make them. Some never piloted one, it is why the flight dynamics sucks.

Choppers are a whole nother ball of wax. The closest you will find to Accusim Chopper is the Dodosim Bell 206 which is quite a few years old now.

If A2A ever went into Choppers, I'd love to see a Bell 47, it would make for a great first chopper, great as a trainer and lots of history.

That's a very good reason. Just curious, how does A2a satisfy itself that the flight dynamics/physics of its vintage aircraft, such as the constellation for example ? Can't be too many vintage pilots on tap for these type of aircraft ?

For helicopters I use X-Plane. Dreamfoil makes some good ones

Would be awfully sweet if A2A and Dodosim could team up to do a Accu-sim Huey (Bell UH-1H Iroquois). Easy to fly. Easy to love. 8)

Doesn't get any more classic than this:

We are very lucky to have some great experienced people on the team and friends of ours including for example Tim Choppe of the Berlin Airlift historical foundation who use our sims to help them train and get prepared as well as give feedback for there aircraft.

Thanks,
Lewis
