This is an aircraft I came across as I was watching an unrelated subject video on youtube. What plane is it? Hint, it is unique.

... and it is being restored, so in the end it will look much better than it does now.

Hi.
Horten Ho 229 flying wing proto type , it never flew , but experts reconed it would have flown , it was near the end of ww2 , the allies came across it in a hangar.

Yes its the German flying wing, which btw did fly multiple times during test flights in various configurations including powered.

For those that don't know or who have not previously looked at the story of this aircraft, I personally found it fascinating.

Planes that are of interest and flew rather than just pipe dreams on the drawing board I would recommend looking into the 229 flying wing, the He162 and the Ar234. So yes, without total defeat it looks like the Germans from a technology pov had the means to change the tide if they had been blocked in and left alone a little longer. Scary thoughts

You captured my feeling when I read the story of this and other contemporary German aircraft in the late stages of WWII.
It seems they were so close to changing the whole air equation... Scary indeed.

And the ground too, with Assault rifles for troops for example, and some funky tank work it was a numbers game in the end, too little too late. But fascinating period and plans to study.
