What mic are you using for your voice activated software?

Post by Still Learning »

I'm seriously thinking about demoing Multi Crew Experience. However the lavalier microphone I have, they said wasn't an optimal choice. And it did give me problems with Dragon Naturally Speaking.

So,I'm wondering what mic setup you were using for your voice activated software like MCE or the like.

Thanks in advance,

Just normal pc headset mics are by far the most commonly used. Pretty much any will work fine with it but obviously you can end up spending a fortune if you want.
I'm a sucker and always over spend but a Logitech one for about £10 will probably be a good start.

I went big...literally. My RadioShack USB tripod mic works great, no problems on my end, and no complaints when telecommuting. I did remove the tripod and mounted it directly to the desk.

Look on Amazon for "PC gaming headset" and you'll find loads. I have a Logitech pair that sound amazing and the mic works great with fs2crew, no issues at all with understanding.

Which model Logitech, and how long have you had it?

Thanks.

It's a G430. I've had it for about 3 years now. My only real complaints are that the ear cups don't breathe very well and can get pretty hot wearing them.
