I'm not saying that's what they're doing. I'm saying it's a possibility. And unless anyone has a reason why that isn't the case, a possibility it remains.

It is highly unlikely that dovetail will do that as people seem to forget that they revitalised fsx against much initial opposition.

Seems to the common trend these days to paint anything that isn't in the old established sim world as less serious or a quick grab for cash especially anything through steam.

They have been pushing out a much improved fsx with decent new add ons and also established high quality third party offerings for years now all at a decent price.
Most of the people knocking them probably even use fsx on steam too!

I'm definitely not having a go at them. As I've said, even if they are after money, it's still a good thing for us. Right now, it looks like FSW can be persuaded to run most FSX mods. That's very good news. I like what they're doing and I hope they keep doing it, whatever the reasons.

Sorry it wasn't aimed directly at you!
I'm just having a rant as I hate it when the community make all illogical proclamations about stuff without giving it a chance.

Like you I think it could be a great thing, I've already tried some add ons and I feel the Devs we care about are probably going to be on board.

I bought and installed it today and so far it looks pretty good. Basic but good. Set up my CH controllers no problem.

I noticed an A2A folder in the main directory and a 'DFS/Feel' in 'My Documents' so my hopes are high for some good add-on aircraft from you guys. A Spitfire port at least. :P

Am I expecting too much? Perhaps, but 'we shall see what we shall see' as we say around here.

I'm sure the A2A "DFS/Feel" folder you located is for A2A Accufeel, which is advertised as included in Dovetail Flight Simulator. It does not conclusively indicate A2A's future plans... though it is fun to speculate.
