Memories

Post by mikec »

Hi Guys.

Many years ago, I logged over 400 hours in Cherokee 140s and 180s as well as the Cessna 172 and 182. You have done a great job in modelling these aircraft.

I also just watched your promo video on the 'Connie'; flew all over the Pacific as a kid in one of these, and in the Stratocruiser (on MATS, Pan Am and Qantas). One of the most memorable flights was coming in to land on Johnston Atoll (Graveyard of the Pacific) in a Strat sitting on the lap of the navigator in the cockpit (never would happen today). The only thing missing are the exhaust flames on startup and takeoff. Spectacular in night flights. (Not sure if that can be simulated.)

Regardless, you guys have done an amazing job in these sumulations. I have several of your planes, including the 377. I'm still trying to make that landing on Johnston without killing everybody on board.

As far as I'm concerned, A2A is the benchmark in modeling.

Thanks for the memories.

Mike

Hey Mike glad you like the simulations and they are enjoyable for you. For the Connie flames thats not something we missed but we don't include as the flames only occur on the later model connies with different engine systems that create the famous flames.

thanks,
Lewis
