Flight Engineers Handbook

For your nuts and bolts types

Lockheed Constellation Flight Engineers Handbook (PDF, 20.8Mb)

Couldn't find anything about Edmond Roux except that he joined Lockheed in 1951. Anyone else know anything about him?

I've been neglecting the forums of late. Maybe I've been too engrossed in the T-6 to give much thought to future releases. If I've read this thread correctly (I excitedly rushed through the posts) and A2A are indeed developing a Constellation, then add me to that list of 'incredibly happy chappies' :D !!

So now that we can go trans-atlantic with the Constellation... How do we navigate? Will A2A build a 3D sextant into the VC? Or will they model the navigator as part of the crew and we can ask him for a position report?
This will be very exciting :D

Very happy for people that really wanted the Constellation. It will, like every other A2A craft, be absolutely amazing. I just bought B377 and COTS as it was on sale.

Looking forward to the next sale to buy my next A2A. It is a pity there aren't sales 3-4 times a year though :(

Lets hope we get a jet soon :)

EDIT:
Flying the B377 is quite hard. I think the B377, B17 and the Connie will be way out of my league sadly.
For the more difficult craft, I think getting them without accu-sim would be the way for me and also things like the Avro Anson.

The B17 for example might be much easier to fly without accu-sim.....maybe ?

2 things -

1) The L-049 wasn't non-stop Trans Atlantic capable. As such, the use of radio navigation is fairly common for most of hte flight since they didn't go across the Atlantic proper, instead overflying Iceland, Greenland, and Ireland.

2) The B.377 already has a navigator position with map and everything. It would be cool if they could add an AI Navigator, but the existing nav table seems to work pretty well.

I'll admit I'm a little bit disenchanted (not a criticism, just a personal preference) that its an L-049 and not a L-1049 or later version of the Connie, but alas, an obvious next purchase from A2A.

This should be no different from the others in that a quality paint kit will be available. There should be plenty of liveries as I imagine she will garner plenty of interest.
