The Captains hat looks nautical. Perhaps the Martin M-130? The China Clipper was quite the rage in it's day. However that would be a limited market since it is a flying boat only, no land capability.
Since Virgo is a constellation, I think the "Connie" is the best bet.

Odds are it will be announced here at the same time. Suspect Scott has already posted the hidden topic, just waiting to throw the switch Saturday morning at 10.Lewis - A2A wrote:You can be....Bruce Hamilton wrote:What I would give to be a fly on the wall of the A2A booth at FSC...

I hate to guess, but if it has more than two engines, is not for me.

Hi Folks,
While not exactly my forte - what's the total 50% off price - you need two packages - right ? While I realize it's not supported - it will work in P3D as well ?
Thanks...

Scott

If I got this right you need the base pack (36.99$) and the Accusim COTS expansion (29.99$). If you buy them in a bundle you'll save 7$ which brings the total to 59.98$. 50% would mean a total of 29.99$. Which is a really tempting price I have to sayscottb613 wrote:Hi Folks,

Let's make the supposition that Scott and team want to build upon what they've learnt modeling the R-1340. I found two airliners which were equipped with this engine : the Lockheed Model 10 Electra and the Boeing 247 !

Maybe a Martin 404 for a "twin" Airliner?
Food for thought

If A2A made it and it has Accu-Sim its insta-buy for me no matter the aircraft
Eagerly awaiting this one and while I am I will have to drag my Strat out of its P3D hanger where I parked it since installing P3D a month ago and get familiar with it again.

Wow... I am looking forward to this addition to A2A's line, and I am enjoying the speculation here.
So, to add my $0.02 to the speculation:
I find the arguments in favor of the C-54/DC-4 to be compelling: The A2A team would presumably have access to the Berlin Airlift C-54. The DC-4 is not being produced by another developer. It is a multi-engine radial airliner.
A DC-3 would be fabulous, but I would have expected that one to be treated as a warbird. Plus, is the reserved space on the tarmac just a little to big for the Dakota?
A Connie also seems quite possible, but I wonder if the A2A team would have access to a flying example. That seems to have become prerequisite for them.
Other (more far-fetched) speculation:
DC-7: I wonder if there is any access to a flying example?
Comet: Jet surprise!
Starliner: The Connie's (bit) bigger sister. Isn't one being restored to flight status?
Martin 404 or Convair 240
Boeing 314 - Did someone say "ship"?
I am looking forward to it!

Of course it is a little late for wishes, but I'd love a twin engine airplane. For me, a modern flight simulation is very much about "living, breathing machines" and with only two of those things purring, we could get deeper into each one's personality. Not to mention the easier physical setup to properly control them both!
