Thank you Lewis 8) , I warped the Millennium Falcon to give it some feeling of it really moving, main reason was to make different because it has been so many times, so hopefully once I added a little extra shadow and little more worn effect, laser burns and such.

BLACKBIRD , it was so hard to figure out the best way to draw/paint this one, nephew Caleb wanted a SR-17 - bit of a bumpy daisy landing

Thanks Matey, John, truly it is something I have always had, that arty farty stuff , doing a little nasty in a work place, don't go falling on your head , in the end it was deemed unsafe for me to be on a work site ... Sooo .

So with a little request asking Scott if I could showcase my work here and with that was given a huge thumbups, I can honestly say I have the best job in the world and let my imagination go wide.

I should hook into the earlier Connie, ... there are two others in the works already started but have not progressed, the regular visitors here in Christchurch when I was growing up .. I also want to do a very tasteful version of the April 14th 1969 shoot down of the EC-121M .

There are so many great subjects .... :)

Two paintings went down to Dunedin for an opened for new Cafe, I framed them here, this to help kick start Jas's 'Black Cat Cafe' so if any A2A member lives in Dunedin New Zealand or is visiting from overseas .. secret code word is 'Ian Warren' and you get a free coffee 8)
Image
The 'Black Cat' Catalina is framed in silver and 'Star War' in a gold anodized frame, the bright afternoon light detracts this colouration, they did look extreme nice framed.

Bristol 188 .. sticking with the sharp pointy planes, this is one I started around 2012, the TSR2 timeline but other come out a little quicker, this was a experimental aircraft , for me was ideal to return and experiment with metallic colour, finally happy with after other works .. on to other paintings :)
Image
The TSR2 .. that is another tricky one .. everyone have seemed to have drawn or painted it so that is still in the cooking pot.

holy mother of batmans tights!

Amazing, love seeing this in the flesh at cosford and to be honest everything in the british hall, the 40's-60's where such a golden age of british aviation tech its stunnign to think how old this aircraft actually is! beautiful rendition Ian 8)

It is amazing to see the many different ideas and prototypes, and its great one had the foresight to put in a museum.
